It works across the packaging value chain to promote sustainable practices and support Tanzania’s transition toward a circular economy. It helps improve waste collection systems, increase recycling rates, and ensure producers take responsibility for packaging materials after use, reducing environmental pollution and encouraging resource efficiency nationwide.

I’m a Brand Owner, Retailer, or Importer of Packaging
If your company places over 10 tonnes of products on the Tanzanian market yearly, you are a producer. This includes brand owners, retailers, and importers who supply packaged goods and carry responsibility in the packaging system.
I Buy or Consume Packaged Products
If a product is wrapped, packed, presented, or preserved in packaging and you purchase or use it, you are considered a packaging consumer.
I’m in the Collection and Recycling Industry
You may be a waste picker, buy-back centre owner, cooperative, SMME, waste management company, or reprocessor. If you want to start or expand your collection and recycling business, we can support you.
I’m a Government Member

We help our members fulfill part of their extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging placed on the market by managing EPR systems for PET (polyethylene terephthalate) rigid containers such as bottles and jars, including their polyolefin labels and closures, as well as liquid board packaging (LBP).
